With the upcoming season of American Idol upon us, this will be the last Comic Wednesday for awhile (unless of course the auditions prove to be Comic Wednesday
material). I wasn’t sure what should be the one that sends us into the American Idol Season, so……..here we go……jokes courtesy of American Idol.

And the man that put a new twist on “worst” singers coming out with his own debut album; Inspirations and a Christmas album entitled Hung for the Holidays. Inspirations debuted on the Nielsen SoundScan U.S. Album Sales chart (also known as the Billboard 200) at #34, with sales of over 37,600 copies. According to Wikipedia Hung’s album also debuted at #1 on the Billboard Independent Album chart. Prior to the album’s official release, several of his songs reached the top 10 on Apple’s iTunes charts, and his album reached as high as #3 on Amazon.com’s sales rankings. To date, the album has sold 195,000 copies. And just think, you could have enjoyed Hung’s album this past Christmas season. I guess this turned out to be a joke on Idol.

Great Post Nana!
Morning All!
Hope you had a special birfday Shay!
Y’all have to get on Face Book. It’s awesome!
Jan 7, 2009 at 8:18 AM
Good Morning. Good Morning! GOOD MORNING!!
Good stuff Nana Berry. Am I wrong for not being in the AI mood? I’m just not feeling it.
Luvvy, why do you so highly recommend this FaceBook stuff, especially opposed to the infamous MySpace.
I’ve heard that MySpace was more for the younger crowd and FaceBook is for a more mature audience.
Jan 7, 2009 at 8:25 AM
Good morning Blogggggg Family.
Jexie, I’m not feeling it yet either. Guess we’ll see how next week goes. Bowling resumes today.
Jan 7, 2009 at 8:34 AM
Good luck with the bowling NanaBerry. I suck at bowling, so I don’t have any good advice. I do like to look at the pretty balls, tho.
what?
Jan 7, 2009 at 8:45 AM
Jexie, I’m not very good at bowling, but I enjoy it. It’s a woman’s league, but they can get competitive.
Jan 7, 2009 at 9:05 AM
Good morning Luvvy, Jexxy, and Nana! Y’all I have sooooo much work I could scream! Why does taking vacation time mean being snowed under when you return. Nobody was THAT busy before I left, so where did all this work come from?! Ok, I’m done ventin’…..for now.
Jexy I ain’t feelin’ AI either. Unless they have exceptional talent this year, I won’t be tuning in. I’m actually burnt out with television period! I’m not good a bowling either but I do like it, seems like a great stressbuster, lol. Luvvy, I’ve heard a lot of people talk about Facebook lately as a networking tool, I plan to check it out. I always thought grown folk sounded silly talkin about their myspace page, lol.
Y’all hold it down, I hope to pop in later!
Jan 7, 2009 at 9:08 AM
Hey EVE!!
Bye Eve.
dang
Jan 7, 2009 at 9:17 AM
Howdy Jexy an Nana!
Facebook is really nice because you can reconnect with old friends. It’s also more personal.
Jan 7, 2009 at 9:18 AM
Hey Evie!
Jan 7, 2009 at 9:26 AM
Good Morning!
I’m kind of looking forward to AI but am hoping it’s not the same old same old. I used to bowl on a league eon’s ago and was never good at it but I did like it.
My sister is on Facebook, she said I needed to get on it so we can connect. ???? Beyotch you know my dayum phone number, why I gotta talk to you on a website? So out of rebellion I decided I’m not getting on it. Petty? Why yes, it is but I don’t care.
Jan 7, 2009 at 9:28 AM
my computer at home shows my old yellow flower avatar and Jexy’s pink flower avatar. This one still has my heart and Christmas Spongebob. Weird.
Jan 7, 2009 at 9:31 AM
Howdy Kimmy!
I just like the connecting part with people. My best friend who moved to NC wanted me to join so we could communicate. And, we still talk on the phone too.
Jan 7, 2009 at 9:32 AM
Kimmy, I was never on myspace either. I guess I’ll have to go see what this facebook is all about.
Are we gonna try to get together while watching AI as in the past?
Jan 7, 2009 at 9:34 AM
LMAO @ Kimmy. I kind of feel the same way. If I want to “connect” with someone, I’ll call them, or email, or how ’bout this. . .go VISIT them? How ’bout that?
Huh?
Huh?
Er’body else is just extry.
Jan 7, 2009 at 9:38 AM
My kids made me a myspace page and I never used it. I uploaded pics so my mom and dad could see them and I never kept it updated. lol. I just couldn’t get into it. I’ll try to Nana but probably won’t until they get into the top 12. I doubt if I watch the auditions, I just wanna see the good singers. Have y’all seen the preview where the girl auditions in her bikini and she’s terrible but they put her thru anyway? That’s why I don’t like the auditions.
Jan 7, 2009 at 9:42 AM
Well every year they always show most of the top 12 in the audition rounds. So it’s nice to get a sneak peek and know what to expect.
Jan 7, 2009 at 9:43 AM
Nana it’s pretty easy. You just enter your name and high school information and wallaaaa you start connecting.
Jan 7, 2009 at 9:49 AM
Kimmy, I started a MySpace page too and never really did anything to it. Now I don’t even know the password or whatever to get back into it.
Jan 7, 2009 at 9:51 AM
LMAO!! I feel ya Jexy. Plus I felt really weird when I would get friend requests from my kids friends. Made me feel creepy.
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:00 AM
Luvs, thanks for the birthday shout outs. I didn’t do anything special, just dinner, a few birthday cards and quality time with hubby!
I too am super busy today so I will pop in later. Also, I have to vent a minute.
I have to do an internship this semester of which I asked to be placed at an after school tutoring program because I work during the day. They told me it was o.k. but when I just got my assignment yesterday, it had Hawthorne Elem. (Briarcliff road right by mall). Um, how am I supposed to be at Hawthorne and I work from 8-5?
Luckily, I only have to do 3 hours a week so I am going to see if I can go over there and do my internship during lunch on Wed, Thur and Fridays.
Otherwise, I’m screwed. I had to pay $3k for the internship and can’t afford to lose my money.
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:01 AM
And what is going on with these avatars? At work I see mad spongebob, at home I see SantaBob, but y’all see my pink flower.
What is really going on?
Do we have spies who are trying to infiltrate and are actually screwing things up?
Or maybe there’s a glitch in the Ma
gli
gli
glitch in the Matrix?
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:05 AM
Shay, can you remind them that you wanted after hours? Maybe it was a clerical error.
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:08 AM
I’m off to bowling. BBL.
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:09 AM
Get a turkey Nana!
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:13 AM
What Jexy said Shay.. How can they schedule you like that when you were work 8-5 not including that will interrupt your 2 hour shopping/lunch right?
Enjoy looking at the balls Nana!
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:20 AM
LOL @ Luvvy! Bye Nana!
Shay I’m sure they will work with you on it.
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:21 AM
Jexy it’s doing the same thing to me. At work I see SantaBob and my heart. At home it’s your flower and my flower. Weird.
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:27 AM
Re: #25
I know right!! Now I can’t shop and have to ride pass the mall at lunch everyday to go sit with first graders instead of looking for cute summer stuff!!
BTW, it wasn’t an error. They can only place you in the after school program if you request to tutor the older kids grades 4 and 5. She never told us that the kids in the after school program were older and since me and several other people requested to be with first, second or third grade, she put us in public schools.
But she should have told us that, now all of us, 90 students, are stuck with internships that we have to fulfull at public schools that are only open from 7:45 to like 1:45 during the day.
Luckily for me, the school they placed me in is only 5 minutes from work. Some of the other students have to go across town to get to their designated schools in Dekalb County.
And the two ladies they placed me with are two old ladies. I bet they are gonna be using me to teach the class for that hour so they can go sit in the teacher’s lounge and smoke. SMDH
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:29 AM
I need a new avatar. And, guess what song they played on the way to the gym yesterday.
UUUGGGHHH!!! Sure you can guess.
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:29 AM
Hopefully the principal will like me and offer me a job while I am there these next few months. It would be good to work this close to school and be off this summer.
I “might” check in on y’all from my laptop on the beach if things go my way with the job thingy
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:31 AM
I am going to save money like crazy this year, cause I plan on not working at all next year. I will focus on finishing school and finding me a job. Hubby says its o.k. to quit so I’m going for it.
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:31 AM
Did y’all see the brutal attack story on the front page of the AJC. How sad and tragic.
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:32 AM
That would be nice Shay!
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:35 AM
I wish I could quit. I’d do it in a heartbeat. I would love to do that and maybe get certified and teach a class at the gym. Now that would be a sweet deal. Get paid to work out!
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:35 AM
Luvs, that means no shopping this year.
I may have to go to therapy.
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:37 AM
My sister says they have a wellness program at her job where the company gives each employee 3 free hours a week to go downstairs in a new gym and workout. She says the workout room is super nice. Flat screen t.v.s, CD players, etc.
She says only 4 people in the whole building uses the 3 free hours to workout.
Now how lazy is that? You get to go workout during work hours, which have nothing to do with your lunch period, and people still don’t take advantage of it.
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:38 AM
I would do it in a heartbeat.
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:40 AM
I agree Shay. Stoopid. I’d be in there for 5 hours a week. One hour a day.
“Kimmy Kim, haven’t you used your 3 hours this week?”
“No sir, you just can’t count”
“oh, ok”
Jan 7, 2009 at 10:53 AM
Oh yeah, I forgot about that one shay. Gives new meaning to retail therapy huh?
I’m so hungry now. Lunch time is soon.
Jan 7, 2009 at 11:00 AM
I have no appetite. I am sick of eating over here. I should just eat oatmeal.
Jan 7, 2009 at 11:04 AM
WOW Shay… Sorry to hear that.
Jan 7, 2009 at 11:05 AM
LMAO @ Kimmy!
Have y’all ever heard of “The Secret”? It’s a book and video, I think the author was on Oprah. It is a MUST SEE.
Jan 7, 2009 at 11:07 AM
Oh well, I’m off for lunch. bbiab…
Jan 7, 2009 at 11:08 AM
I’m doing a visual board Jexy. I figure What the Hell! It can’t hurt! My motto this year is “Positive attitude & thoughts, 2009″
Jan 7, 2009 at 11:10 AM

Jan 7, 2009 at 11:20 AM

Jan 7, 2009 at 1:34 PM
Where y’all at?
Jan 7, 2009 at 1:36 PM
I’m here and was wondering the same thing Jexy. Thought I would be swamped this afternoon. That’s going to be tomorrow.
Jan 7, 2009 at 1:39 PM
I just came back to ask y’all the same thing
Jan 7, 2009 at 1:42 PM
Is it a full moon out tonight? Everyone here seems pissy. Maybe it’s just the weather…
Jan 7, 2009 at 1:44 PM
Well the sun is finally coming out now. Yippee!!
Jan 7, 2009 at 1:46 PM
Jexieeee, thanks for your telling me to get a turkey, cause I DID! Yea. 2 good games, one bad, but the team won 3 today.
Jan 7, 2009 at 1:48 PM
Nana, that was “The Secret” in action.
Y’all need to google that. for real.
Jan 7, 2009 at 1:51 PM
Jexy can you secret me about a hunerd thousand? Please and thank you!
Great job Nana!
Jan 7, 2009 at 1:54 PM
LMAO @ Kimmy. You can secret it for yourself. Put it on your visual board and believe.
Jan 7, 2009 at 1:55 PM
We’ve been under a freezing rain advisory for the last 2 days and now we have a severe wind advisory. Great. Just what I love…to be freezing cold and yellin “Auntie Em! Auntie Em!”
Jan 7, 2009 at 1:56 PM
LOL! I am Jexy but you seemed to have a bit of the force with you so I thought I’d ask for your input too.
Jan 7, 2009 at 1:57 PM
Kimmy the wind is blowing like crazy over here. It actually pushed me when I went outside. And that ain’t easy!
Jan 7, 2009 at 1:57 PM
Remember Kimmy there is no place like home even if’s colder than you know what right!
Jan 7, 2009 at 2:06 PM
LOL @ Jexy and Luvvy!
We have a constant wind here being in the mountains so I have to nail everything down outside. lol. But when we get a wind advisory we get gusts up to 65 mph and that ain’t fun. I wanna get a windmill to power my house so Imma write Obama a letter when he takes over and ask the gov’t to pay for it. That way I can be green
Jan 7, 2009 at 2:13 PM
Well Kimmy I’m sure it will not put too much more into what he thinks is going to be a trillion dollar deficit.
Jan 7, 2009 at 2:44 PM
I know Luvvy, just a bit more won’t hurt.
Where did y’all go?
Jan 7, 2009 at 2:45 PM
Out for the day. Talk at ya tomorrow. Peace out all.
Jan 7, 2009 at 2:58 PM
Nite Nana!
Jan 7, 2009 at 2:59 PM
I’m here Kimmy. Not too much longer though.
Jan 7, 2009 at 3:12 PM
Hey Kimtastic and Luvvy! Dare I say, my “In” box is empty?
I’m sure er’body has left for today now, huh?
Jan 7, 2009 at 3:16 PM
Howdy Eve! I’m still here, but it’s almost time to leave…
Jan 7, 2009 at 3:22 PM
Jan 7, 2009 at 3:27 PM
Dayum my arse been busy! I didn’t even realize today was hump day! LMAO @ myself!
Jan 7, 2009 at 3:28 PM
Hope everyone has a great evening!!
Jan 7, 2009 at 3:30 PM
OMG Eve! you had me thinking today was Tuesday all over again! LOL!!
Nite all!
Jan 7, 2009 at 3:41 PM
OMG Eve. You poor thing. Did you know it’s now 2009?
Jan 7, 2009 at 3:44 PM
LMAO @ Kimmy and Jexy! Jexy, if I hadn’t partied in the New Year, I would probably be unaware it was ‘09, LOL!
Jan 7, 2009 at 3:50 PM
Good night everyone. And remember to think positive thoughts and VISUALIZE what you want.
Jan 7, 2009 at 3:52 PM
Bye Jexy and Kimmy! Jex, I remember Oprah talkin’ about the ‘Secret’ a while ago and I truly believe it too. If you project positivity, positive things will happen.
