What do you get when you add 6 heffas and 2 hughs??

One hellava blog family!!

And that’s exactly what we were Saturday night, one big family getting together for the first time.  I have to admit, I woke up Saturday morning so excited that I couldn’t wait for 5:00 to arrive.  I knew Kimmy’s smile would make me warm inside, Jex’s humor would lighten the mood,  Choc’s cute hair cut would make me jealous, Nana’s surprise visit would shock the heck outta everyone, Shaun’s offer to buy a round of drinks would bring relief to my empty pockets, Carla’s reaction to seeing everyone would make it all worth it and Luvs sweet personality would make everyone fall in love with him. 

And for our two beloved friends who weren’t able to be with us (Ara and E-V-E), this post is dedicated especially to you!  You were definitely there in spirit and we missed you dearly.

Now on the laughs.  You guys cracked me up so much.  I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time.  With the growing problems we are facing with the economy, Saturday night was just what a gal needed to get me through next week.  We all traveled far, but we made it work.  I wanted to give a special thanks to Nana and Kimmy for traveling so far to make this event.  The food was good, the company was good and we had an all around good time. 

I think we should make it a tradition to get together once a year.  Next year, its off to sunny Dallas, Texas and the year after, well how about Check, Virginia?  My hubby says he thinks he can do without me for one weekend so I am ready whenever you guys are!!!
